Grundfos is looking for a Senior Key Account Manager to join our team, Grundfos want someone who can ensure success with our 2025 strategy,  work with pace and constantly maintain and monitor works efficiency. The ideal candidate would have a good understanding of our industry, strategic mindset and customer focus.

The Job

The main focus for this role is to drive sales and grow a strong relationship within the area of responsibility. Responsible for yearly negotiations and being the one point of contact for this customer Group to ensure high customer satisfaction and loyalty.   The KAM is in control of Independently developing, growing and maintaining their area of Key Accounts.

  • Develop market knowledge to successfully drive commercial activities.
  • Develop knowledge to be able to able to sell digital solutions – explaining the benefit for the different customer groups within the Key Accounts.
  • Support the team to develop our deep understanding of end-user process, needs and pains to more effectively develop our value selling approach directly with end-user
  • Identify different stakeholders (decision-makers)  and utilise the right approach to drive sales development.
  • Ensure quality opportunity pipeline and strong hit rate.
  • Proactively follow up, analyse and report on Key Accounts and ensure regular dialogues.
  • Introduce new products and solutions to the customers.
  • Monitor and report on pipeline, order intake, sales, profitability and drive debt collections within own area.
  • Ensure knowledge sharing with the team and take responsibility for their own competence development.
  • Review substantial quotations and project bids.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure we are perceived as highly customer Centric and collaborative ensuring ONE-GRUNDFOS.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks or projects as and when required.      
  • Facetime
  • Reports to KAM Director Industry Europe.
  • Collaborates with other KAM’s , IEM’S and teams outside department and country. 

Could this be you?

The ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills, be able to hold an audience but really listen to our customers, fully understand their needs and have the technical knowledge to advise and proceed as needed. Being able to communicate both verbally and written to a range of stakeholders at various levels, including internationally. 

Other key Characteristics of this role include:

  • Positive and resilient personality.
  • Proactiveness and dare to lead and is Results driven.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Good Business Acumen.
  • Ability to think tactically and analytically.
  • Expert in working with CRM and MS office, specifically Excel for analysing purposes.
  • Able and willing to travel across Europe.        
  • Ideally, you hold a Bachelor in business and/or engineering
  • Relevant experience from a large international company ideally working in a similar role.
  • English proficiency            
  • A good understanding of industry trends and production processes, ideally with and industry background (F&B) ·
  • Experience of working in B2B with end-users
